Advisory Services

Choosing art should feel exciting, not overwhelming. Whether you’re buying your first piece or adding to an established collection, we’ll help you find work that suits your taste, your space and your budget. We get to know what you’re looking for, introduce you to Karoo artists whose work fits, and guide you through the process from first enquiry to the artwork on your wall. We work with private collectors, businesses and interior designers, in person at the gallery or remotely for clients anywhere in the world. Our framing service means your chosen piece can arrive ready to hang.

Framing Services

Good framing makes a painting look its best, and proper wooden frames are hard to find in this part of the Karoo. At Kraairivier Huis Gallery we frame in wood only, and we are the only place offering it in the area, with nothing of the kind available in Graaff-Reinet. Curt, who is a working artist himself, understands what a frame needs to do for the work inside it. Bring us your paintings, prints, photographs or family treasures and we will help you choose a frame that suits the piece and the room it will hang in.

Creative Mentorship

Every artist reaches a point where they want an honest, experienced eye on their work. Our creative mentorship is for artists at any stage who want guidance on developing their practice, whether that’s finding your voice, building confidence with a medium, preparing work for exhibition or working out how to share it with the world. As working artists ourselves, we offer practical, encouraging feedback and support at a pace that suits you, one-on-one at the gallery or remotely.
